I decided to use 2 images I found online by other illustrators as inspiration for this exercise.

ENLARGED & SIMPLIFIED LINE DRAWING:
I created the following line visual based on the completed illustration. I didn’t have a large piece of paper, so added 4 pieces of A4 sheets together using tape.
MOODBOARD:
I then created a moodboard as inspiration in order to create a new illustration using the line visuals.
IMAGE DEVELOPMENT:
I decided to use collage digitally using Procreate. I moved objects around until I was happy with the combination. I love using collage digitally as I can manipulate the sizes and shapes of objects and the positions of objects more easily.

REFLECTION:
The process of creating line visuals and then re-creating the illustrations in my own style was interesting. I discovered that I didn’t need to use a lot of lines in an image in order for it to make sense. Less detail in the line visuals, also gave me more freedom in creativity when re-creating the image in my own style.
