RESEARCH TASK 2.4 FELIPE DE CASTRO

I found this artist on Instagram and loved the way he used daily objects as inspiration for architectural drawings:

I decided to follow the example of Felipe De Castro to use the shapes of everyday objects as inspiration to create different shaped cartoon-style houses. I used micron pen and Koi brush markers.

I decided to add a background of sky and black-and white check to create a more surreal effect.

REFLECTION:

I enjoyed looking for different everyday objects, which could be quirky shapes to use to illustrate cartoonish houses. It made me look at daily objects in a different way. I think it could help me to think of new ideas for future illustrations.
